Gizem Nur Aydemir is currently a research assistant and PhD candidate in the Building Sciences Program at the Department of Architecture at Middle East Technical University (METU). Gizem, who started at METU as an architecture undergraduate in 2010, has won various awards from several competitions. She enrolled in her master's degree at METU while working as an architect. Meanwhile, she has presented and published papers on building energy performance at various conferences, symposiums, and journals. She worked on two projects as an assistant: the ERANET Cofund Project and an R&D project financed by the Republic of Turkey Energy Market Regulatory Authority, using data-driven methods. She has carried out her doctoral studies within the framework of habitation on Mars.
